Family's search for missing boy

Bennington County, Vermont - March 18, 2009

Its been more than two years since 12-year-old Jaliek Rainwalker disappeared, and his family has not given up hope that he will be found. His grandmother, Barbara Reeley, spent Thursday posting age-enhanced photos of Rainwalker in Bennington.

The boy vanished in Greenwich, N.Y., in November 2007. The search has crossed the state line into Vermont because Rainwalker's adoptive family often went camping there.

"Can't give up hope. There are times when I get down, but I realize that doesn't help in the search for him," Reeley said while hanging missing posters. "I have to keep searching, looking, and letting people know he's still missing."

Reeley plans to lead a search of the Merck Forest in Rupert this year to look for evidence or human remains.

Jaliek Rainwalker's adoptive father Stephen Kerr has been named as a person of interest in the case. Since the disappearance, he has moved from New York to West Rupert, Vt.
