An eight-year old girl at the center of a bitter custody battle is still missing as the case heads back to court.
Isabella Miller-Jenkins and her birth mother Lisa Miller of Virginia failed to appear in January for a court-ordered custody swap. They haven't been seen since. Isabella was supposed to be turned over to Janet Jenkins of Fair Haven. She and Miller were joined in a civil union in Vermont and raised Isabella together for the first few years.
Later this month the Vermont Supreme Court will hear arguments from Miller's attorneys. They say a judge should not have awarded custody to Jenkins because she's not Isabella's biological mother.
