ALFRED, Maine (AP) - A Maine jury has found a New Hampshire man guilty of murdering his ex-fiance in Alfred.
Jurors reached a verdict Friday morning after deliberating for several hours in York County Superior Court Thursday in the trial of Jason Twardus of Rochester, N.H.
Twardus has been convicted of strangling 30-year-old Kelly Gorham of Alfred in August 2007 and burying her body on property belonging to Twardus' father in northern New Hampshire.
WMTW-TV reported that Twardus testified this week that there were no hard feelings after his breakup with Gorham. His attorney had said police should look for other suspects.
