Embattled Rutland dentist faces fraud charges

Rutland, Vermont - October 19, 2010

A Rutland dental surgeon pled innocent Monday to almost two dozen felony counts of Medicaid fraud.

Dr. Peter Gray is charged with filing 23 claims for services he never provided.

The charges are just the latest in a string of legal troubles for Gray.

His dental license was temporarily revoked in October of 2007 after he tested positive for drugs and early this year a New York woman sued him for allegedly drugging her cocktail and having sex with her. Gray also denies that allegation.
