Mikel Brady
South Royalton, Vermont - January 6, 2011
A Hancock man will spend the next year behind bars for a violent home invasion.
Twenty-one-year-old Mikel Brady broke into a South Royalton home in 2008, assaulted two residents with a bat, tied them up and stole everything in a safe.
On Wednesday a judge sentenced him to 28 months in prison as part of a plea deal, but Brady could be released as early as March of 2012. That's because he's already serving a two-year sentence for stealing dynamite from the Rock of Ages granite quarry in Bethel and will receive credit for time already served.
