Police search for evidence near Pat O'Hagan's house

Pat O'Hagan Pat O'Hagan

Sheffield, Vermont - February 24, 2011

Vermont State Police renewed their search for evidence Thursday hoping to get closer to solving the case of Pat O'Hagan.

The 78-year-old grandmother was found murdered in Wheelock last fall-- and police have still not named a suspect or a motive for her killing.

Thursday, a specialized water search team scanned a creek across the street from O'Hagan's home in Sheffield. Detectives would not say what they were looking for, what pointed them to the water, or if they found anything significant. They only said the search was part of their ongoing investigation that remains a priority.

O'Hagan was last seen alive on Sept. 10, 2010.
