It's March and we're getting those hints of spring, but winter has not thrown in the towel just yet.
A *WINTER STORM WARNING* remains in effect for the entire region (except Windham county) until 1 PM on Monday. A *WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY* is in effect for Windham county in Vermont. Snow will be heavy at times through Monday morning, especially in the Champlain Valley and northern Vermont. The morning commute will be rough to say the least, so use extreme caution if you plan to travel. The snow will taper to snow showers by early afternoon.
Accumulations are expected to be 12 to 24 inches for the Adirondacks, Champlain Valley, and northern Vermont (possibly even more for the Green Mountains), 6 to 12 inches for central/southern Vermont, and 3 to 6 inches for Windham county.
We'll have a few quiet days after that, but there could be yet another significant storm for Thursday and Friday, with a mix of rain and snow. We'll keep you updated! In the meantime, be safe and drive slowly!
