Going the Distance: Veteran marathon married couple
April 21, 2011
This week we are "Going the Distance" with some very experienced runners.
The Vermont City Marathon is just over five weeks away. Runners are winding down their training as the event draws near. They are also working on their mental game-- getting psyched up for the race. But for at least two runners this marathon is old hat.
Betty and Don Lacharite of Winooski have run in the marathon every year since 1989.
This year Don, 79, is doing half the marathon. His wife Betty, 75, is running the entire 26.2 mile race.
The Lacharites appeared on The :30 to talk about running, their relationship and more. Watch the video to see their live interview.
