Commissioner talks about state energy plan

Burlington, Vermont – June 2, 2011

The state has just launched a new effort to develop a comprehensive energy plan.  The previous plan is 13 years old.  The new plan is set to be done by the middle of October.  State officials want to hear from the public; they're holding a series of meetings around the state.

Vermont's utilities are taking steps to secure future power needs, Green Mountain Power just won approval for a wind development.

Public Service Department Commissioner Liz Miller talks about what Vermont's future power plan is and what the outlook is.
