Georgia Mtn. wind project blows forward

Milton, Vermont - June 3, 2011

A wind farm in Chittenden County has received the green light.

State regulators approved the four turbine project on Georgia Mountain. It should be online next year.

The Burlington Electric Department has already reached a deal to buy all of the project's electric output. It will provide power to about 6,500 homes in Burlington.
