Cat Viglienzoni

Cat Viglienzoni joined the WCAX-TV news team as the morning news producer in July 2011. She graduated in May 2011 from Emerson College in Boston with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Writing, Literature, and Publishing. At Emerson, she produced and anchored for the morning radio news at WERS 88.9 FM, where she started as a reporter, web writer, and public affairs reporter. She also reported for TV with EIV News' award-winning newscast "News at 9" and was the station's first web producer. Past internships include working in the newsroom at WCVB-TV in Boston and writing for her hometown paper in Soquel, Calif., The Santa Cruz Sentinel.

When she isn't in the newsroom, Cat can be found running, cooking (probably Italian food or baked goods en masse), or catching up on the latest cinematic and literary releases. A science junkie at heart, she can also be found investigating the latest science news or events. She is a passionate chocoholic. And yes, her favorite animal is... a cat.
