Isaac Turnbaugh
Moretown, Vermont -- August 2, 2011
He admits he killed a co-worker, but now Vermont authorities say they cannot do anything about it.
A jury acquitted Isaac Turnbaugh of murder back in 2004. The Moretown man was accused of the sniper-style shooting of a co-worker outside American Flatbread in Waitsfield.
Turnbaugh called police last month and admitted killing Declan Lyons, 24.
Turnbaugh is in the Vermont State Hospital now.
Attorney General Bill Sorrell says there is nothing the state can do about the confession since Turnbaugh has already been acquitted.
