Barre City, Vermont - August 8, 2011
Fire ripped through a furniture warehouse in Barre City.
Six departments responded to the blaze. It's owned by P and S Furniture which is currently moving locations. So, the warehouse was mostly empty. One firefighter suffered minor injuries battling the blaze. But officials say it could have been much worse if not for the quick response of multiple crews.
"When you roll up to a scene and you've got flames and smoke on a building, you learn a second alarm goes out and people respond rather quickly. It was really good stop when you look at the potential of what could go on here. It was a really good stop," said Chief Tim Bombardier of the Barre City Fire Department.
Investigators were called to the scene and are going through the debris to determine what sparked the blaze.
