Author Juliet Grey dropped into the WCAX studio for our Books Over Breakfast segment in royal attire to discuss her new historical fiction novel, "Becoming Marie Antoinette."
Grey's debut novel is the first in a trilogy following the famous queen, and she says the book debunks some of the common misconceptions about Marie Antoinette. The next book, "Days of Splendor, Days of Sorrow," is due out in 2012, with the third part appearing in 2013.
Grey says though it is fiction, the book has a strong foundation of research to support it. There is a bibliography in the back of the book that includes her sources.
Juliet Grey is the pseudonym of author Leslie Carroll, who has written previous nonfiction books about royal history.
