Rutland, Vermont - September 7, 2011
Vermont State police are investigating a robbery that took place Wednesday morning at the Merchants Bank on Route 7 in Rutland.
Police say around 10 a.m. a white man entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money through a note. The teller then gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a thin, white man, approximately 6' tall, with red hair, a full red beard and freckles. He was last seen wearing a dark sweatshirt and baggy jean shorts, with a grey knit cap.
