Kyle Midura joined the Channel 3 News team in September of 2011 and is thrilled to be back in his home state.
Kyle grew up in the small town of Sunderland, Vt. He attended Burr and Burton Academy where he first fell in love with journalism and began his broadcasting career as the anchor and managing editor of BBA News.
In 2009, Kyle graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism with a Broadcast Journalism degree and concentrations in History and Political Science. While there he had the privilege of being selected to work for the Medill Innocence Project - an investigative team that has exonerated 11 wrongfully convicted men, five from death row.
During his college years, Kyle held internships at KULR in Billings, Mont., and WIFR in Rockford, Ill. He spent his summers subcontracting for ESPN among others on dozens of remote shoots. Upon his graduation, Kyle joined the KULR news team as a general assignment reporter.
At KULR Kyle covered the capture of an escaped murderer, extensive record flooding, the Yellowstone River oil spill, wildfires, bear attacks, homicide trials, Montana's legislative session and the controversy surrounding medical marijuana.
Kyle is an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Growing up he spent his winters on the ski slopes of Southern Vermont and always enjoys the first snow.
Kyle thinks stories are about the people behind them, and looks forward to hearing yours.
