Apple Cobbler

In a medium bowl, combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, vanilla and liquor, mix well. Turn into a lightly buttered 9-inch square pan. Dot apples with the butter. Can also do 8 individual baking dishes.

Combine the topping ingredients. Beat with a spoon until batter is smooth. Drop batter in 8 portions, over the apples, spacing evenly. Mix the 4 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon together and sprinkle over cobbler mix. Batter will spread during baking. Bake 35 - 40 minutes at 350 degrees or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown. Serve warm.
