
JERICHO, Vt. - The South Burlington football team needed a win Saturday to remain in a four way tie for second place in Division one. That's exactly what the Rebels got. South Burlington beat Mount Mansfield, 41-18.
The Rebels scored first on a Connor DeVarney five yard Touchdown run in the first quarter. After the Cougars Marcello Mosca scored on a 68 yard reverse in the second quarter, the Rebels broke the game open. South Burlington quarterback Hunter Riehle throwing a touchdown pass right before halftime and early in the third quarter to put the game away.
South Burlington improves to 5-1, while Mount Mansfield is still in search of its first win.
