Sue Skaskiw, the Director of Vermont Volunteer Services for Animals Humane Society (VVSA), appeared on the Channel 3 News Tuesday morning for Everything Animals to talk about a big pet food donation.
Twenty-eight pallets of pet food has been donated. VVSA will distribute the food to those in need of puppy, dog and cat food.
Skaskiw says Irene, and the rising cost of feeding the 'extended family members' has seriously impacted many Vermonters and this effort is a statewide offer of food that will help make the winter months a bit easier on those that are in need of help.
They are encouraging food shelves, humane societies, points of food distribution, and those in need to call VVSA at 672-5302 to arrange for pick up in the next few weeks.
