Police say Sharon fatal crash was a DUI

Sharon, Vermont -- October 14, 2011

Police now say a drunk teenager caused a fatal crash in Sharon Thursday afternoon.

It happened on Route 14. Police say Carlos Garcia, 19, of Sharon, slammed into a car in front of him, killing a passenger in that car, Zyra Flores, 53, of San Antonio, Texas.

The driver of the second vehicle, Karen Crouch, 51, of San Antonio, Texas, suffered head and neck injuries.

Garcia is now charged with DUI and Gross Negligent Operation with death resulting. Garcia was arrested Friday after he was released from the hospital. He was ordered held on bail.
