Plainfield, New Hampshire - October 14, 2011
Authorities in the Upper Valley are looking into whether bullying played a role in a high school girl's death.
Jasmine Rogers, 16, was found dead in a wooded area behind her home in Plainfield Tuesday. Her death was ruled a suicide.
Plainfield Police Chief Paul Roberts says his department is looking into whether Rogers was bullied at Lebanon High School and if that was a factor in her deciding to take her own life.
"We're exploring all avenues and looking at any bullying that may have taken place or any other factors that may have been involved. We're attempting to talk to the school officials, counselors, her friends, best friends," Roberts said.
A memorial service for Rogers will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Kimball Union Academy
