ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The Cuomo administration is distributing an additional $850,000 in aid for more than 100 New York farms impacted by flooding caused by tropical storms Irene and Lee.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday announced that the state funds will be distributed among 120 farms. The governor says that including three previous rounds of aid distribution, so far more than $4.5 million has been granted to 353 farms in agricultural communities still rebuilding from the flood damage stemming from the storms in late August and early September.
Cuomo has said the state will provide at least $15 million to rebuild communities and the agricultural industry in hard-hit areas.
