Two Vermont lawmakers are sounding off about a controversial oil pipeline.
Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Peter Welch want the State Department to investigate possible conflicts of interest in a proposed review of the proposed pipeline, which would run from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico.
TransCanada, the company proposing Keystone Pipeline Project, was reportedly allowed to screen private firms competing to perform the environmental impact study.
The 1,700-mile pipeline would carry more than half a million barrels of oil a day from Canada to Texas refineries.
