Nurses reprimanded for inmate death

Two nurses have been punished for their roles in the death of a Vermont Prison inmate.

Twenty-three year-old Ashley Ellis of Castleton died two years ago after she didn't get her medication to treat anorexia. She was serving 30-days at the Northwest Vermont State Correctional Facility for a driving violation. Renee Louise Trombley had her nursing license reprimanded by the state.

The state issued a warning against the license of Deborah Ploof Moore who is from Underhill. Both were employed by Prison Health Services, a private health company.
