Charges dropped against alleged custody accomplice

Timothy Miller Timothy Miller

Burlington, Vermont - October 31, 2011

A missionary accused of helping a mom flee the country with a child at the center of a custody dispute no longer faces charges.

Timothy Miller was charged with aiding and abetting in the kidnapping of Isabella Miller-Jenkins. Lisa Miller, who is not related to Timothy Miller, had been ordered to hand the child over to her former partner Janet Jenkins, who lives in Vermont. But instead she left the country with Isabella.

Federal authorities have dropped the charges against Timothy Miller but are free to file them again as the case progresses.
