MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The championship trophies for the fall high school sports season have all been handed out, but there is still one game left to be played.
The eleventh annual North-South Vermont Senior Bowl is this Saturday, a 12:30pm kickoff, and this season the game returns to its original site, Middlebury's Alumni Stadium.
This series is all tied at five after the North's 74-48 win last year at Castleton, but it's what happened more recently at Spartan Stadium that's serving as motivation for both sides.
All six of the teams that took part in the three state championship games this past weekend will be representing the South in the Senior Bowl. That's a lot of wounded pride for those northern teams that want to prove they have the best talent in the state.
