Shumlin thanks 'Corporate Angels'

Bridgewater, Vermont - November 18, 2011

Governor Shumlin is thanking "corporate angels" for their help, in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene.

The state says corporate donations from around the country have helped Vermonters with food -- housing -- and other recovery assistance. Friday in Bridgewater, Vermont, the Governor thanked the President of 'Subaru of New England' for a 100-thousand dollar donation which will be used to help Vermonters impacted by the storm.

Subaru of New England's President, Ernie Boch Jr. comments, "This is the only state where Subaru beats Honda. That's big for us. And I just love Vermont and am honored to help out."

The Governor says families still need help.

You can call 1-800-Vermont to donate to the Vermont Disaster Relief Fund.
