
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Norwich won its seventh PrimeLink Great Northern Shootout with a 5-2 victory over Elmira in the title game of the 14th annual tournament. The top-ranked Cadets improve to 6-0 with the victory.
Elmira took a 1-0 lead just 41 seconds in, but Norwich scored three times on the power play in the first period to take the lead for good. Pier-Olivier Cotnoir scored two of those goals with blasts from the point. Parker Carroll made 22 saves in goal for the Cadets.
In the consolation game, Middlebury and Plattsburgh skated to a 0-0 tie.
