Timothy Dowd Timothy Dowd

Burlington, Vermont -- December 7, 2011

A Hinesburg man charged with killing a woman in a drunk driving crash wants statements he made to police tossed out at trial.

Timothy Dowd is facing second degree murder charges for the December 2010 crash that killed Kaye Borneman.

Dowd allegedly slammed into the 43-year-old's car during a police chase through downtown Burlington.

According to the Burlington Free Press, Dowd allegedly told police after the crash that he was sick to his stomach over killing a woman.

His attorney is asking the court to throw out those statements, saying officers failed to read him his rights.

A trial date has not been set.
