Burlington, Vermont - December 11, 2011

Two men have been arrested in connection with the theft of a special guitar from a Burlington home.

Jeffrey Leduc, 25, and Timothy Crews, 51, are charged with receiving stolen property.

The guitar was stolen from Ben Hardy's home on Pomeroy Street. It was given to Hardy's brother, Josh, when he was dying of brain cancer, back in the early 90s. It was signed by the members of the band Pearl Jam.

When police found the guitar in Crews' apartment, all of the signatures had been sanded off.  Police expect to make more arrests in the case.

Timothy Crews is no stranger to the criminal justice system.  Back in 2005 he was sentenced to six years in jail for disposing of the body of Ligia Collins. Collins was a drug dealer who was beaten to death by one of her customers in a Burlington home. Crews pleaded guilty to being an accessory for helping dump Collins' body in a remote section of Ripton.
