Canaan, New Hampshire - December 18, 2011
New Hampshire authorities are investigating a fatal fire early Sunday in the town of Canaan.
Officials say the fire broke out in a home on Route 4 around 1:30 a.m. One person inside was killed in the blaze. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending an autopsy. By the time crews arrived, the house was heavily involved in fire and part of the structure had collapsed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
