Firefighters battled a blaze at a New
Hampshire egg farm early Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. at
Pete and Gerry's Organic Egg Farm in the town of Monroe.
Firefighters from at least eight
departments in New Hampshire and Vermont were called in to help fight the
blaze.
Authorities said the flames destroyed an egg processing
plant that was under construction, but no other farm buildings were destroyed
and no chickens were killed.
