BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Police in Vermont's largest city are investigating the theft of a diamond ring from a jewelry store in a Burlington mall.
Police say the suspect had asked to see a white gold solitaire ring with a diamond weighing more than 1 carat at the Zales Jewelry store in the Burlington Town Center at about 4:30 p.m. Monday when he took the ring and ran from the store.
The ring was valued at about $3,200.
The suspect is described as a white male with a pale complexion, 20 to 25 years old, around 5'6" tall with light brown hair. He was wearing a black fleece, sweat pants and sneakers.
Anyone with information is asked to call Burlington police at 658-2700.
