A new study finds red meat might be OK for people trying to lower their cholesterol, as long as the beef is lean.
Researchers at Penn State gave subjects between 4 and 5.5 ounces a day of top round, pot roast or 95-percent lean ground beef.
Compared to the higher fat American diet, the lean beef plan lowered the level of bad cholesterol and cholesterol overall.
