
Three different skaters scored for No. 4 Boston College as the Eagles defeated Vermont 3-0 Saturday night in Hockey East action at Gutterson Fieldhouse.
Competing with just 12 skaters due to various injuries the Catamounts managed to hang tough with the fourth ranked Eagles. After being outshot 13-4 in the first period the shots were an even 21 for both teams through the final forty minutes.
Boston College goaltender Corinne Boyles made 25 saves to earn her third shutout of the season, Roxanne Douville made 31 saves for Vermont.
The win moves Boston College to 16-6-1 overall and 9-2-1 in Hockey East play. The loss drops Vermont to 3-13-6 and 2-7-2 in league play.
Vermont returns to action next weekend as they travel to face Boston U and No. 7 Northeastern in Hockey East action.
