The state of Vermont is offering free radon test kits.

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in this country. Radon is a deadly gas that naturally seeps out of the ground. You can place a test kit in your basement to find out if you have high levels of radon. If you do have high levels of radon, there are steps you can take to reduce your exposure.
