A Northeast Kingdom hunter is facing
aggravated assault charges after police say he shot his hunting partner.
Police say the two men were tracking a
bear on Urie Road in Albany in October. As the bear crossed the road, police
say Conrad Masse, 76, of Craftsbury, fired several shots. One hit the bear and
another hit his fellow hunter. Police say Wayne Goff, 58, of Wolcott, was shot
in the pelvic area. He's now out of the hospital in stable condition.
