Snowmobile accident kills Weathersfield man

Weathersfield, Vermont - January 23, 2012

State Police are investigating a deadly snowmobile accident in Windsor County.

Investigators say 82-year old Richard Jarvis of Weathersfield was riding his sled Sunday night on private property near the intersection of Route 131 and Thrasher Road in Weathersfield, when he hit a tree. Police believe mechanical failure may be to blame.
