This garden is for little kids! It's the children's garden at Fort Ticonderoga, and it's an amazing garden!
It has got a sunflower house, which is great thing to create if you have kids. You plant sunflowers in a ring and then let them all grow together. They create a little, mini cave and they love it in there!
There's a maze that kids can follow around. What's nice about this maze is they show how to plant ornamentals, flowers, vegetables, and herbs all together. You can make it really beautiful, colorful and edible at the same time!
They have some nice theme gardens as well. They have a salsa spot with tomatoes, basil, and cilantro. It's got all veggies you need to make a nice salsa. And they have some kind of unusual plants they prop in here and there. They have some nice little topiaries of chickens and other animals and insects. And they used an old fence from Fort Ticonderoga as a cucumber trellis! That's very creative!
They also have a traditional three sisters garden, with the corn, squash and beans growing together. So it's a real educational garden, but this kids garden has a lot of the elements you can take and use in your own home garden, especially if you have kids and grandkids around.
