Two fuzzy friends who stole the show

Burlington, Vermont – January 26, 2012

Many dairy farms in Vermont are struggling to pay the bills. Some farms are taking alternative methods into their operations to bring in more money. Cheese making is becoming a more common way to increase revenue. But some farms are forgoing their traditional animals altogether.

Nicole LeBlanc is a former dairy farmer who now breeds and sells alpacas. For the ones kept on the Alpaca Farm, they sell the fiber, which is similar to wool but softer. LeBlanc appeared on The :30 to introduce us to Lashes and Cocoa.
