No charges against teacher who let student shoot deer

St. Albans, Vermont - January 27, 2012

A longtime St. Albans teacher remains suspended after letting a student shoot a deer while in class, but he will not face criminal charges.

Steve Wunchsh is on leave without pay until early February.

Prosecutors tell the Burlington Free Press that Wunchsh didn't commit a crime and say it's also not clear if the animal was shot on or off school property.
