BURLINGTON, Vt. - Cody Ferriero netted his first career hat trick with all three goals coming in the third period as Northeastern skated past Vermont 8-3 in Hockey East action on Friday night at Gutterson Fieldhouse. The Catamounts drop to 5-18-1 (2-14-1 HEA) with the loss, while the Huskies improve to 9-11-3 (5-11-2 HEA) on the season.

Freshman Kyle Mountain scored his first career goal for Vermont.  Kyle Reynolds and Matt White also found the back of the net for the Cats.

The two teams meet again Saturday night at 7pm at Gutterson.  That game can be seen live on WCAXtra.
