BURLINGTON, Vt. -
A new book by a Vermonter looks at the connection between energy use in cities and economic advantage.
"The Very Hungry City" is by Austin Troy, an associate professor in UVM's Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources. Troy says unlike books that focus on the environmental benefits of reducing energy use, his book's argument is largely economic. And we can expect that energy-hungry cities will be less competitive as energy gets more expensive.
