BURLINGTON, Vt. -
About 12 years ago, Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington saw its first newborn delivered from a mother on methadone. Now, opiate addiction has grown to the point where one program at the hospital is finding almost 10 mothers a month addicted to opiates.
This week, Ken Picard of Seven Days newspaper wrote about the addiction program. He appeared on The :30 to talk about who's helping the growing number of Vermont's mothers with substance abuse problems.
