
MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont Attorney General's office says a 58-year-old Connecticut man has been sentenced to five to 20 years in prison in a series of child sexual assaults in Vermont over a 5-year period.
Philip Grasso of Manchester, Conn., was convicted of sexually assaulting one the victims who was under the age of 16 between 1998 and 2003 in Springfield. He was also convicted of lewd and lascivious conduct with a child and lewd and lascivious conduct during weekend visits to Springfield, Peru and Perkinsville over that 5-year period.
The attorney general's office said Wednesday that Grasso is currently serving a 15-year sentence on sexual offenses in Connecticut.
