BURLINGTON, Vt. -
University of Vermont trustees could expect the school's next president to live on campus in the presidential mansion known as the Englesby House. But the building on South Williams Street will need a major makeover first.
The board's presidential housing work group is proposing to spend $875,000 on repairs and upgrades by next fall.
The home also needs some expensive drainage repairs to keep the basement from flooding. But trustees are suggesting delaying that project.
The full board will be asked to vote on the proposal Saturday.
