Jason Wing
Dustin Trimm
NORFOLK, N.Y. -
Police say it was another successful search for evidence as they piece together the murder of a young man from Franklin County, N.Y.
Investigators returned Friday to a private camp off Grantville Road in Norfolk. This is where police say Dustin Trimm, 37, buried the body of his friend Jason Wing, 21, after shooting him to death in 2010. The body of the Fort Covington man was found Thursday.
Police say Friday they recovered numerous items of evidence, but would not discuss what they were.
As of Thursday, police were still looking for the gun which they believe was also buried on the property.
"I should not have to bury my son; I should have to make funeral arrangements for my 21-year-old son. I shouldn't have to explain to his brothers and sisters that somebody took his life and he is never coming back home," said Roxanne Stratton, Jason Wing's mother.
An autopsy on Wing's body is scheduled for Friday night. Police say they believe they know the motive for the murder, but so far they are not releasing it.
