BURLINGTON, Vt. -
Big crowds are expected in downtown Burlington to watch the Super Bowl and police are reminding fans to act responsibly.
Nationally, only St. Patrick's Day sees more drunk driving arrests than Super Bowl Sunday. In Burlington, police officers say they will not have more patrols, but they will be on the lookout for intoxicated fans.
"People are going to want to have a few drinks as long as you stay home and you've got a designated driver or you've got a way to get home you're all set, just don't get behind the wheel if you've been drinking," said Burlington Police Ofc. Tyler Badeau.
Police say a store-bought breathalyzer can give you an idea if you're over the limit, but they say if you have been drinking at all, it's best not to drive.
