SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont National Guard is planning a series of 3 veterans' career skills workshops in February. The workshops are open to all veterans and their spouses.
Guard officials say participants will learn critical skills to assist them in their job searches and career decisions. Areas to be covered include conducting a job search and networking, cover letter and resume writing for service members, interviewing techniques and starting your own business. One-on-one sessions with job coaches will is also be available.
The sessions are set for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the three days they're being held.
The dates are Thursday, Feb. 9 at the Holiday Inn, South Burlington; Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the White River Junction Reserve Center; and Thursday Feb. 16 at the Rutland Reserve Center.
