PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. -
The second ranked Norwich Women's Hockey Team beat #5 Plattsburgh, 8-7 in overtime Wednesday night at Stafford Arena in Plattsburgh. There were a total of 8 power play goals, 7 lead changes and 6 ties. In their first meeting last month in Northfield, Norwich won 3-2, also in overtime.
Jillayne DeBus finished with four points for the Cadets. Her 13th goal of the year came on the power-play with an assist from Tyne Gove in the second period. DeBus scored two more goals in the third period before assisting on the game-winner in overtime. Shannon Stewart led the Plattsburgh offense with three goals and two assists.
Plattsburgh State drops to 15-5-2 on the season, 13-1-2 in the ECAC West while Norwich improves to 19-2-1 overall and 15-0-1 in the ECAC East.
